Welcome Message

We would like to extend a warm welcome to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Primary School.  Thank you for visiting our website, which I hope provides an insight into our school community.

It is an absolute pleasure and privilege to be the Headteacher of this warm, friendly and welcoming school. We are a Catholic school and welcome families from our Catholic Community as well as our different faith communities within the area.  The Gospel values and our school virtues of courage, resilience, respect, patience, honesty, generosity and wisdom are the golden thread that run through all of our teaching and relationships in school.

Immaculate Heart of Mary is a two form entry primary school that is part of St Gregory the Great Catholic Multi Academy Trust.  We pride ourselves on how well our staff know each child as an individual and the pastoral support we offer children and their families.

We also believe that it is vital for all of our children to receive a rich and varied curriculum in order to support them to find and nurture their talents.  We ensure that we offer many learning opportunities within our broad and balanced curriculum and extend this through our extra-curricular clubs that pupils can sign up to.

We set high expectations for both behaviour and learning attitudes at Immaculate Heart of Mary.  Our results demonstrate that pupils consistently perform above the National expectations.

Our experienced and dedicated Special Needs Co-ordinator also works alongside outside professionals, staff, pupils and parents to support our pupils with additional needs in school to ensure that they receive the best education possible.

All of our staff are committed to our families in school and work collaboratively to support each and every one of our pupils whatever their ability to reach their full potential.
